String Types:

Natural Gut -Made from Cows Intestines. Good elasticity, tension stability. Expensive. Not weather prone. Biggest playability and comfort levels then any other string type.
Nylon / Synthetic Gut -The more wraps / layers the better the quality. Offers combined playability & durability
Monofilament refers to when just a single strand of material is used.
Mulitfilament is refered to when several strands are combined together in the one string type. Several strands usually mean a better string has been produced.
Polyester -Sole polyester fibre with a coating a.k.a. 'MONOFILAMENT' Stiff, providing good durability which in turn allows thinner gauges more spin and more control. Recommended for high string breakers. Good as mains in hybrid stringing.
Hybrid -2 different strings used. A durable polyester suited as a main with an elastic synthetic, multifilament or gut used as the crosses to provide feel and comfort. Lasts longer

Stringing Options

1. Non String Breakers and those looking for comfort: Should try Multifilaments like Babolat Xcel, Babolat N.VY or Tecnifibre Multifeel. These strings are softer providing players with good levels of comfort & feel.

2. Low to Medium String breakers & medium strength hitting players: Should try Hybrid stringing. Combinations involving MSV Hex, Head Sonic Pro, Babolat Pro Hurricane Tour [PHT], Babolat Pro Hurricane, Babolat Blast, Babolat Pro Hurricane, Babolat Revenge & Tecnifibre Red Code.

with any of the multifilament strings listed in #1. These combinations allow more durability but by crossing with a multifilament string in the crosses still provide comfort and feel for the player. If you require a Hybrid just choose the most expensive of the 2 strings you wish to Hybrid and leave a message on the section provided in the shopping cart menu and we'll string your racquet accordingly.

3. High string breakers or those with hard, forceful swings. Should try full poly strings. Any of the strings listed in the first part of #2 are poly strings. This allows the highest level of durability to the player with some strings like the MSV Hex, Babolat Pro Hurricane, Babolat Pro Hurricane Tour [PHT] & the new Babolat Blast (as used by Nadal) purposely designed for high levels of topspin.
